We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect when you use this website, make an enquiry, or book a stay, and how we use it. Sea Retreat has been a family-run business since 2002, and applies to www.sea-retreat.com.

What we collect

When you submit a contact form or enquiry, we collect the details you provide — such as your name, email address, phone number, and the content of your message. When you book a stay, we also hold your postal address and payment/transaction details for record-keeping. We use Google Analytics, which collects anonymised browsing data, and never attempts to identify you personally.

How we use it

We use this information solely to respond to your enquiry and arrange your stay at Trevara or Little Trevara. We do not sell or rent your information, and with your permission we may occasionally contact you about offers or availability — you can opt out of this at any time.

Legal basis for processing

We process your data on the basis of performing a contract with you (your booking), our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries, your consent where given, and to meet our legal obligations, keeping what we collect to the minimum needed.

Sharing with third parties

We may share limited information with people who help us run Sea Retreat — such as our housekeeping team, our booking and payment providers, and secure cloud storage providers — solely so they can do the job we've asked them to do. We do not transfer your data outside the UK or EEA.

Telephone calls

Calls may occasionally be recorded for training and quality purposes, or to verify details previously agreed.

Your rights

You may ask us at any time to see, correct, delete, or receive a copy of the information we hold about you, by emailing enquiries@sea-retreat.com with the subject "Data protection information request". If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you also have the right to raise a complaint with the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

We review this policy from time to time as our practices or the law change, and will update this page when we do.
